Speaking Practice

Coming by April 17th 2026.

Exciting, and they will be free!

The Articles Below Are What Everyone is Talking About:

Am I Good Enough?

The first day, many learners tell me they have studied a long time and are not satisfied.  Many even go as far as to say my pronunciation is very bad.

AI and Pronunciation

We hope to announce very soon 3 AI partners.  I am so excited!

Everyone is talking about AI and most are using AI in chats.  This article is current information about the state of AI, if it can help you.  It states the advantages and disadvantages. As I wrote above, I am in negotiation with AI that helps correct speech upon input, help identify your Exam Scores according to how you speak, and a new fun experimental AI that helps you with tone.

Non-English Speakers Teaching

I have always been an advocate of Non English Natives teaching pronunciation.  However, they must have professional training and modern methods.  In addition, their pronunciation must be clear.  There is also an extreme bias against non native English speakers teaching. Pay differential and outright prejudice.  Our platforms want to help you and we can really make a difference in your professional careers.

Intonation and Stress: How to Sound Natural

Intonation determines intention, meaning, feelings, and increases quality of pronunciation.  Definitely focus on this after you learn to properly produce each building block sound.

Tones, The Music of English

As an experiment, to yourself or in the mirror. Say hello 6 times,  however say it like you are happy to see someone, like you don't care, like you are angry, like you have a crush on them ha ha, and like you are bored with them.  You now know how important tone is!

Myth If You Speak English - You Can Teach

This makes me crazy. There are so many great teachers with excellent training.  Why is someone with no training from USA, England, or Australia as example preferred? I advocate for professional, well trained teachers with good  pronunciation even if they are from Mars.

How to Succeed Learning English Pronunciation?

If you have been learning for a while and are not satisfied, you can find advice about successful ways to improve.

Methods That Fail Learning English Pronunciation?

Too many subscriptions and teachers teach methods that don't lead to success,  JUst more payments.  Read about these and see if you have used one.  You will also find information on how to tell if the method is good, and which methods always fail, no matter how much advertising they do.  Methods can be gamified, addicting, and fun, but not good in the long run.

 Deep Learning English Pronunciation

This is the best article in my opinion because it explains why this is the best method for just about everything and how you can apply it to pronunciation. If nothing else, read this and use deep learning as your method.

The Transformative Power of Immersive Learning

I have been extremely lucky to have taught in different countries. Being there, surrounded by the language you want to learn is very effective and a form of deep learning.  This article will tell you ways you can immerse yourself in the target language without actually being there which is often very expensive.

Guide to Philology, Linguistics, Phonetics, IPA

Most do not know what these mean.  You don't have to now.  I wrote this article because these words are everywhere.  I wanted to share the knowledge in a way everyone can understand.  There are also differences between them.  The IPA chart is extremely useful to know the sounds in a word.  Many English words have letters that don't get pronounced.

Bad Habits and Bad English Pronunciation

I have a student right now. She is fantastic.  Wanting to study abroad and has to take a PTE and IELTS exam.  Her knowledge is incredible as she has already studied abroad.  Her listening as she says she can understand me '1001%'.

She wasn't scoring high and came to me.  I knew right away that she speaks way too fast, links words (do not do this) and doesn't pause to breathe. She has no power when speaking after the first few sentences.

There are a few problem sounds that are normal for her native language however her problems are 90% bad habits.

The First Step = Identify Problems

With clear speech, meeting new people, handling professional calls, or participating in class becomes much easier. To truly learn English pronunciation, you must first identify your unique pronunciation problems.

Once you do, you can fix these issues effectively with consistent, targeted practice using proven methods and expert resources such as PronunciationLessons.net.

The English Learning Journey - A Long Road

Learning English is a rewarding but long-term process. It involves mastering grammar, building vocabulary, improving reading and writing skills, and developing your listening comprehension.

This journey requires patience and dedication. It's important to be honest with yourself about the time and effort needed.

Many learners feel overwhelmed trying to tackle all aspects at once. However, steady progress is possible when you break the journey into manageable goals.

Remember: There is no shortcut to full English mastery, but focusing on key areas step by step will keep you motivated and progressing.

However, pronunciation is fast.  100%

Pronunciation: The Fast Track Skill

Unlike grammar or vocabulary, pronunciation is a "fast track" skill. Improvements can be seen quickly when you work smart.

Why? Because pronunciation is a physical skill that depends more on muscle memory and practice than memorizing rules.

By targeting specific sounds and patterns that cause you trouble, you can drastically enhance your speaking clarity in weeks or months rather than years.

This quick win is motivating and opens doors for better communication sooner.

The Focused Approach - Find Your Issues and Fix Them

Visit Clear Speech and Confidence

The secret to rapid improvement in pronunciation lies in a focused, personalized approach.

Many learners waste time practicing sounds they already pronounce well, but the real progress happens when you identify exactly which sounds and words are problematic for you.

Here are practical steps to find your pronunciation issues:

  1. Record your speech reading a standardized text or conversation.
  2. Compare your recordings to native speakers (tools like PronunciationLessons.net help with this).
  3. Note any sounds that feel uncomfortable or different from the native forms.
  4. Use targeted exercises to practice those specific problem sounds.
  5. Test your progress regularly to stay motivated and adjust your focus.

Focusing only on your weak points leads to faster and more noticeable results than generic practice.

Why Pronunciation is Physical

Pronunciation isn't just mental; it's a physical skill involving your mouth, tongue, lips, and breath control.

This makes it fundamentally different from grammar or vocabulary, which are largely about memory and understanding abstract concepts.

By learning correct mouth positions and practicing muscle memory repeatedly, you develop new speech habits.

This physical nature means learners from all backgrounds can improve quickly with the right movements and dedicated practice.

Pronunciation and Confidence

Clear pronunciation immediately boosts your self-confidence. When people understand you easily, your conversations flow naturally.

Think about these real-world situations:

  • Social settings: Meeting new people or chatting casually becomes less stressful.
  • Professional settings: Job interviews, presentations, and workplace conversations gain impact and clarity.
  • Academic settings: Oral exams, class participation, and group projects are easier and more efficient.

Your improved pronunciation shows others that you are ready and competent to engage, which in turn raises your confidence-a positive cycle.

Why Testing and Evaluating Pronunciation Matters

To track your improvements and identify problems, regular testing is essential.

PronunciationLessons.net offers highly effective testing tools based on the following categories:

Testing for Consonants = The first thing to focus on

This type of test helps you detect which consonant sounds-like "th," "r," or "l"-you might struggle to produce correctly.

Once you know these, you can practice targeted drills to fix each sound, which is critical because consonants shape the clarity of your words.

Testing for Vowels

Vowels often cause confusion due to subtle pronunciation differences (e.g., "ship" vs. "sheep").

Vowel testing pinpoints errors so you can focus on the exact sounds you need to practice, improving overall speech intelligibility.

Testing for Vowels and Consonants Combined

Some tests evaluate both consonants and vowels, giving a full view of your pronunciation strengths and weaknesses.

This comprehensive approach allows precise and balanced practice, producing faster and lasting progress.

Regular evaluations provide feedback, keep motivation high, and guide your learning journey effectively.

The Value of Evaluations

Whenever we need to heal, fix something, or have goals that we need more skills it is important to understand exactly what the problems are in order to focus on them.

English Pronunciation Evaluations are structured assessments that analyze how well learners produce English sounds.

These evaluations help identify specific problems in how consonants, vowels, stress, and intonation are articulated.

Accurate pronunciation is crucial for clear communication and for English learners to be understood easily.

Pronunciation Is Accomplished by producing individual sounds.

This evaluation and program find your problems and provide you what you need to fix pronunciation.

Pronunciation improvement results from carefully mastering individual English sounds. I will provide you with at least five different styles of lessons to learn each sound. Lessons specifically made for that sound.

This includes consonants, vowels, word stress, rhythm, and intonation patterns.

Perfecting these elements leads to intelligible and natural-sounding speech.

What Is Included?

Everything, every step of the program.  There are three methods of learning for you to choose the best way for you to learn.  All of the plans include all the extensive core materials and one or two evaluations.

Pronunciation evaluation is a service where I listen carefully to you speaking.  I analyze your spoken English.

This evaluation tests for all sounds.  Consonants of you get that program, vowels if you buy that one.  I also comment on aspects of your speaking and patterns you as a learner struggle with.

It also provides a clear plan for focused practice and improvement using the core materials provided.

Do I suggest to fix accents?

The Fact Is That Accents Are Endearing

It is way too much work to try to fix something that is you.

Everyone has an accent that reflects their native language or region.

Linguists have documented over 160 native English accents.

Accents are charming and part of personal identity.

People Should Keep Their Accents but Have Good Pronunciation

Maintaining your accent celebrates your heritage.

Clear pronunciation simply helps others understand your message easily.

This balance builds self-confidence and smooth communication.

I am sadly getting requests from immigrants  wanting to hide.

If this is your case contact me, I will help you,

I also hope this prejudice goes away soon.

Pronunciation of English  Sounds Is Often Similar to Your Language

Every language has many similar ways to pronounce sounds.

I have experience in many languages knowing which sounds are often mispronounced.

Each language also has some diferent and unusual sounds that must be learned.

New learners mispronounce those in addition to the 'cultural mispronunciations' that are learned.

Accurate pronunciation means producing English sounds the way native speakers do.

This clarity ensures others understand you without asking for repetition.

Clear pronunciation is essential in effective communication regardless of accent.

History

Pronunciation evaluation has grown with increased global English use in business and education.

These products improve your chances at passing your interview.

In addition, if you want really focused help, I can research your job, the company, and job advertisement and try my best to help you practice not only pronunciation, but in addition, prepare for a specific interview.

Clear pronunciation during job interviews boosts confidence and professionalism.

Employers appreciate candidates who communicate distinctively without ambiguity.

Pronunciation evaluations identify weaknesses that might cost opportunities.

The Value of an Evaluation and practice in Being Promoted can not be emphasized anough.

Being understood clearly can influence promotion decisions positively.

Used by IT Companies for QM and QC

I have taught at over 10 IT companies and the QM and QA roles are especially in need of clear speaking skills.

IT companies evaluate employee pronunciation to ensure quality management (QM) and quality control (QC).

Clear pronunciation reduces customer support misunderstandings and errors.

Pronunciation evaluations help maintain high communication standards.Use in Sales Across Industries

Sales professionals use clear pronunciation to build rapport and trust quickly.

Miscommunication can lead to lost deals; evaluations help identify risks.

Improved pronunciation leads to higher sales success across industries.

Use for Support Agents on Telephone

It is difficult for customers when support agents speak too quietly or can not be understood.

Call center agents need excellent pronunciation for customer satisfaction.

Evaluations help pinpoint difficult sounds that affect telephonic clarity.

Many companies require their agents to maintain strong pronunciation standards.

Use for Language Teachers

Language teachers must model perfect pronunciation for their students.

They are role models and guides in pronunciation development.

Evaluations ensure they teach the correct sounds confidently and accurately.

I am hearing more and more often complaints about pronunciation from students.

It is also common for parents of students to complain as they place a lot of emphasis on their children's education.

Problem of Non-native Language Teachers Teaching the Wrong Sounds

While teaching at Universities, I often hear mistakes and learners practicing mistakes on my around classrooms.

Native English  teachers from some countries speak too fast, link words, do not say each word and cause problems for the learners later.

Non-native teachers sometimes unintentionally teach incorrect pronunciation. It is easy to think you sound correct however your brain is fooling you.  You must record your voice in order to hear the problems.

This can confuse learners and create lasting errors.

Proper evaluation ensures teachers correct their own pronunciation first.

Teachers Must Be the Best at Pronunciation, Not Just Good Enough

INstructors must be aware of the speed they talk, enunciations, and speaking too quietly.

Teachers must master pronunciation beyond conversational fluency.

This excellence builds learner trust and effective communication habits.

Pronunciation evaluations help teachers reach expert levels.

Pronunciation Problems Make People in Meetings Insecure

Unclear pronunciation often causes nervousness and hesitation in professional settings.

Lack of confidence inhibits contribution and idea sharing.

Evaluations and practice reduce anxiety by building clarity and assurance.

They also prevent promotions and cause behind the back comments.

Opportunities Are Lost If Not Confident About Good Pronunciation

Missed job offers, networking chances, and promotions often trace back to communication issues.

Good pronunciation directly correlates with opportunity access.

Evaluations enable identifying weaknesses before they limit success.
